Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati observed Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas 2024 at Ashrama premises, Guwahati and Gopal Krishna Tea Estate, Borgaon in the District of Morigaon on 24th November and 25th November 2024 respectively. The brief reports are given as follows. 24th November 2024 at Ashrama Premises Guwahati :- Activities : 1) Off Campus Cleaning by Students’ Home Boys. 2) Tree Plantation in the Ashrama Premises by Students’ Home Boys. 3) Discussion on Life and Contribution of Bhagawan Birsa Munda, the Leading Tribal freedom fighter. On this occasion Sri Dhiresh Narayan Chowdhury (Retd. Justice) and Padmasree Ajoy Kumar Dutta spoke on life and Contribution of Birsa Munda and other freedom fighters. 25th November 2024 at Gopal Krishna Tea Estate Play Ground :- Activities : * Discussion on Life and Contribution of Bhagawan Birsa Munda, the Leading Tribal freedom fighter * Tribal Dance by the students of Gopal Krishna Tea Estate Adarsha Vidyalaya * 110 nos. of Books titled “Mor Bharat Amar Bharat” in Assamese were distributed among the attending students On this occasion Swami Atmashuddhananda, Secretary, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Guwahati, Sri Narayan Kumar Radu Kakati, Ex-President of Tiwa Autonomus Council, Sri Bapuram Majhi, Tribal Social Worker and Sri Subrata Sarkar spoke on Tribal freedom fighters and their contribution to the freedom movement.
